For less than the cost of a vet visit, our Canine Nutritionist can address your dog’s allergies at their root, providing a natural, non-pharmaceutical approach that can bring lasting relief.
Signs of a yeast infection:
Chewing or licking the feet
Dark rusty-red hair between the toes
Black skin (often with hair loss)
Bad smell and greasy hair (seborrhea)
Ear infections or head shaking
Speckles on the underbelly
Hair loss on the tail and upper back
Grayish or rust color around the genitals
Diarrhea
Seasonal allergies
Secondary bacterial infection
It’s important to know these signs … because the longer your dog’s yeast infection goes untreated, the harder it will be to resolve.
Conventional veterinary care often treats recurring skin, ear, and gut issues as isolated problems, applying short-term fixes that can make symptoms disappear temporarily. However, this approach is like putting a band-aid on a larger issue—it covers up the symptoms but doesn’t address the root cause. Worse, they prescribe your pet drugs which DO make it go away, but only for a bit (like a plaster on gangrene) and now you have altered the gut microbiome which is the master healer for skin, ear, and gut issues!
Think of it like treating the smoke instead of the fire. Focusing only on the red rashes, itchy skin, or sore ears is missing the underlying issue. We need to hose down from the inside!
Many conventional diets, like kibble (dry food), exacerbate these issues. Often, these diets are promoted as "hypoallergenic," yet studies show these products often fail to prevent recurrence. And in our unregulated pet world, this "hypoallergenic" claim means nothing and now you are paying twice the price for ultimate the same product.
Unfortunately, dry pet foods are highly processed, contain inflammatory ingredients, and lack the nutrients necessary for optimal immune health. Research now confirms that dogs on fresh, balanced diets generally have less inflammation and are less prone to skin, ear, and gut conditions than those on a dry, carbohydrate-rich diet. So now you're on mega-pricey kibble with the obligatory immune suppressors. For life..reocurring issues, medication over and over, and soon your dog will suffer consequences from poor diet and being overly medicated.. but the vets and their prescription food partners have made lots of money!
Our approach is different. We start with the gut, using tailored diets and natural supplements to reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system. We know high carbohydrate diets are inflammatory. Also, the mycotoxins that are rife in pet food are highly inflammatory. Then, the poor quality facts, chemicals and antimicrobial preservatives further compound the gut flora disturbance.
80% of your immune system is around your gut. When you antagonise it with such highly processed foods you are kicking the bee hive. Now 80% of your immune system is aggitated and it radiates out enormous amounts of inflammation out towards the skin (takes a year to show up there, and another half year to pop up in the ears, Helsinki University has shown us).
Healing is possible when you target the root cause—inside and out.
